Thorndale Lions Club
Serving our community since 1947
On behalf of the Thorndale Lions, we extend our warmest welcome to the Thorndale Community.
Lions International began in 1917 and has grown to 1.4 million members in 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries around the world. Thorndale Lions were chartered in 1947 and since then have been an integral part of the community. The club is responsible for building and maintaining the Community Centre for over 60 years. The Thorndale Lions Medical Centre celebrated 25 years of service in 2013 and has been a welcome addition to the area. We are also big financial supporters of the new Splashpark in town, a great spot for the kids.
In addition to these important projects we also support Eyes Right, a Lions initiative that buys Hospital equipment throughout SW Ontario, the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Lions Foundation of Canada providing guide dogs for handicapped people, our local elementary and high schools, Thamesford minor hockey, and countless other worthwhile projects locally and around the world.
As our Club keeps pace with the growth in the community, we are always looking for new members with fresh ideas to keep us current with all that is happening. If you would like to meet some upstanding neighbors, contribute to the community, and have some fun along the way, we invite you to check out Thorndale Lions.
